In 2001, after many years of working together as directors of their own successful independent companies, Grant McIntyre and James Hicks combined to form design.construction.home.ltd.
Grant has over 22 years experience in architectual draughting and has worked with some of New Zealand's leading architects, providing creative input and exercising overall control of documentation, draughting staff and CAD systems. Grant declined the position of Associate with a leading architectural firm to establish his own company.
Grant oversees the pricing of all projectsand his understanding of the process ensures he is able to advise on the most cost-effective construction methods.
James also has over 25 years experience in construction. He was awarded top apprentice when training as a tradesman and then went on to hold a senior position in a construction company before a stint in the NZ Police force where he gained the rank of Detective. James managed his own company before joining with Grant to form design.construction.home.ltd.
